WINDYCITY SECURITY (815) 341-3603

Service area

Based in Frankfort. Most of our work is within forty minutes of it.

We have worked across four states since 2009, but the bulk of what we do is Will County and the south and southwest suburbs of Cook. That matters more than it sounds like it should: proximity is the difference between a service call this week and a service call when someone is next in the area.

Where we work

Three rings, and what each one gets you

Home ground — within about 25 minutes

Frankfort, Mokena, New Lenox, Tinley Park, Orland Park, Homer Glen, Lockport, Manhattan, Monee, Matteson, Oak Forest, Country Club Hills, Crete.

Same-week site walks, and a service call is a short drive rather than a scheduling exercise.

Regular territory — Will and south Cook

Joliet, Alsip, Crestwood, Blue Island, Chicago Heights, Palos Heights, Lemont, Plainfield, Romeoville, Bolingbrook, and south into Kankakee and Grundy counties.

The counties where most of our commercial work sits — retail, gaming rooms, warehousing and schools.

Wider footprint

Chicago and the rest of Cook and DuPage, and project work across Indiana, Wisconsin and Michigan.

Larger installations and multi-site rollouts, where one scope covers several locations.

If you are outside all of that and running several sites, ask anyway. A multi-site job is a different arithmetic than a single door, and distance stops being the deciding factor.

Why local matters here more than it does in most trades

Three things a distant installer cannot do

  • 01Know your village. Permit requirements are municipal and they are changing — Alsip now regulates security fog installations, and it will not be the last to. Knowing which building department wants what is local knowledge that does not travel.
  • 02Come back. Cameras drift out of focus, a head needs a cartridge, a reader fails. The value of a system is what it is doing in year four, and that depends entirely on whether returning to your site is easy for whoever fitted it.
  • 03Talk to your responders. Fire alarm coordination, PSAP integration for a school, a monitoring centre that knows the address — these are conversations with people in your area, and they go better when the installer is in it too.

What we install

Six things, one contractor, one phone number

  • SECURITY FOGThe one control that acts during a break-in instead of after it. Security fog
  • WINDOW FILMThe glass holds together, so the opening does not clear on the first swing. Window film
  • SECURITY CAMERASIP video specified around whether the footage will actually identify anyone. Cameras
  • REMOTE MONITORINGLive operators, talk-down, and police called by a witness rather than a panel. Remote monitoring
  • ACCESS CONTROLReaders, controllers, credentials and lockdown, done to the egress rules. Access control
  • BIO LOCKSFace, palm vein and fingerprint locks for single doors or whole properties. Bio locks
