Security fog & commercial security · Crete, Illinois
A village centre that nobody passes after ten.
Crete is small, quiet, and completely unobserved overnight. That is most of its appeal and all of its exposure.
What we see in Crete
The part of a Crete security package that is usually missing
Low incident volume is not the same as low risk. It usually means fewer patrols, longer gaps, and a crew that can afford to work slowly at a rear door because nothing is going to interrupt them. A barrier inside the building does not care how long they have.
Where the rules stand
Permitted properly, in every village
No village ordinance specific to security fog has been recorded here as of September 2026. That does not mean you fit one and say nothing. A fog unit is a fixed electrical installation and it discharges something a fire crew will be asked about, so we file the electrical permit with the village and notify the fire department as a matter of course — on every install, in every village, whether or not anyone has asked us to. Rules in this corridor are changing quickly, and the install that is already documented is the one that stays compliant when they do.
The order the layers have to go in
Delay first, or the rest never gets used.
Film at the glass so the opening does not clear on the first swing. Fog in the room so the seconds that buys are actually spent on something. A live operator so somebody is looking while it is still happening. Run in that order the layers compound. Run out of order — fog with no delay at the glass — and a crew is inside and grabbing blind before the barrier has finished filling.
Where it earns its cost

Restaurants and taverns
Overnight cash with no passing observation.
Agricultural and equipment premises
Machinery, tooling and fuel across open ground.
Offices and professional suites
Records and equipment behind one glazed door.
How we work
What we do before we give you a number in Crete
- 01Survey first, always. Frame type, glazing, pane size and what is behind each opening. Some buildings need less than they were quoted and some need something different entirely.
- 02Room volume decides the unit. Fog is specified on the space it has to fill and the seconds it has to fill it in. That is a calculation, not a product choice.
- 03Film and attachment together or not at all. Film bonded to the pane with nothing bonding the pane to the frame pushes out of the opening in one intact sheet. There is no useful half of this.
- 04Permit, fire notification, documentation. Filed before commissioning, recorded afterwards, so your insurer and your landlord can both see what was fitted.

A site walk in Crete costs you nothing
We are about 20 minutes from you, based in Frankfort. We will look at the openings, tell you which ones matter, and put a number on it. If the honest answer is that you need less than you were quoted elsewhere, that is what you will get.
Security fog, security window film, commercial cameras, remote monitoring, access control and bio locks installed across Crete and Will County. Permit and ordinance detail: fog permits and ordinances. If you run video gaming terminals, start with fog for gaming rooms. Schools and districts: Alyssa’s Law readiness. Full coverage map: service area. Ordinance status stated as of September 2026; we confirm current village requirements before every install.
